And how does it concern me?The club asks nothing more from you that your solidarity with humanity! We don't make promises we can't keep, our goals are shared by all humans. We want nothing more than peace on earth and we feel solidarity with those in true need. We know that there are many evils in our world. Most of you feel strongly for something, we acknowledge your support of the rights of a particular group, they could be based on skin color, a religious belief, equality among the sexes, animal rights, clean oceans, land or air, or any other group. We acknowledge all of youWe welcome all of you! If you care about something, then care about our planet, the poor and downtroden, those really in need of help right now, today. You will never believe how bad it truly is! We can not sit back anylonger and ignore the suffering of so many and not give something. We ask very little of you and you are already a member through your humanity. If each human on the planet gave just a mini piece of her or himself for solidarity, just 1 hour per week, $1.00 per month and to talk with others about it. That's peanuts! To show solidarity with others you have to be willing to stand up for them, to give something for them. Do you believe that you are more human than any other human being living today? In the eyes of God each of us is equal, what do your eyes see? There's no magic involved in healing our world, it will take hard work and many more hours than one person can give. But if you spread the load, monetarily and the work, it will begin to change very quickly, and we want to prove it. So many have already done so much, but we're still a long way from our goals. Why? Because we go about it wrong, we throw money after a million different projects and too few are effective. We want to give our children the chance to be the difference. Take a project like the Ocean Cleanup as an example. It's founder, Boyan Slat was 16 when he created the idea, and it's going to help change our world. He's what inspired the club! He shown a light which led me on a path toward the end of the tunnel Today I hold my light up for you! The answers are just waiting to be found, look at the many things young people have discovered in the past, just by doing what they do best, playing, searching, experimenting, simply trying new things. My favorite place is Appropedia, a wiki full of wonderful projects from school aged people. There are thousands of places like it, full of ideas and springboards to bigger things. Get kids involved today, be a light for someone, show them what solidarity with humanity really means Put the human back into humanity, because we all deserve peace. The Zero Hunger challenge lives in all of us! Because we are the Zero Hunger Generation and we will see the end of poverty. We will no longer accept that other human children are suffering while we live in a fairy tale life.
