Have any of your students/children joined the ZHC?I've updated the clubs garden wiki with links to our 3d printed replacement parts.
The clubs goal is to show children that it's fun to find new hobbies which actually help those in need. In the case of our garden, it will essentially run completely unassisted for weeks, yet cost very little. 3d printing several parts has reduced the cost 90% and can be reprinted as often as needed. Are you wondering how your kids can help? We want kids to begin using their smartphones to help them find solutions. Each of them has his or her own interests, strengths and knowledge, it's time to get them busy. Whether with 3d print, computers, gardening, reading into files or any one of a million other interests, each and every child can make a difference. Imagine if we sent a drone to a remote village with a box, filled with things created by children. Our drone sets the box in the middle of the village and parks on top of a building, there a child begins talking to the children in their own language. "Hello children, the children of the rich world have sent you a chance to help your families. In this box you'll find all of the parts and instructions to make what you need, even seeds for a garden. These things are for all of the children, boys and girls to use to feed you families and to learn from." This is not far fetched, our garden alone would feed several families, allowing the children to go to school. Provide school on an inexpensive PC, taught by children, through games and events. Send enough so every family benefits and you change the paradigm of this village. Educate the children and you break the cycle of poverty and hunger! Our wiki has many ideas for children to begin, but we'd be happy to add more. BTW, the wiki can be changed by anyone, please feel free.
